Apply to vary (change) a permit for installations
Before you apply
If you would like to make any changes to your permit you need to apply for a variation. For further advice on how you can vary a permit please see application forms and guidance notes available from the links below.
All applicants must fill in part A, F and complete the appropriate part C sections.
Administrative changes
You will need to apply for an Administrative Variation to change or correct:
- name or address but where the legal entity has not changed
- National Grid Reference to improve accuracy
- typographical errors
- the start date of a permit
- an outlet location – a new technical assessment is not required.
You must fill in Part C0.5 unless you are changing an address or contact details when you should also fill in Part A with the new details.
The charge for an administrative change requested by the permit holder is £613.
Consolidating your permits
If you have more than one environmental permit at the same location, you can apply to consolidate your permit. If you would like to consolidate your permit, then please contact our customer contact centre on 0300 065 3000 to discuss your application.

You must fill in part A and F and complete the appropriate part B sections.
