Why we can amend your felling licence

This only applies to all felling licence applications that were received on or after 1 April 2024.

When we can amend your felling licence

We may need to amend or vary the conditions on the felling licence if:

there is a breach of a condition in the licence which is causing or likely to cause significant harm to the environment
there has been no breach in the conditions in the licence, but we consider that felling in accordance with the licence is causing or is likely to cause significant harm to the environment

We will always attempt to amend a licence in agreement with the licence holder as an initial step.
